Vita AI assistant

Your clinical co-pilot: case summaries, differentials, remedy suggestions, and case-sheet autofill.

Vita is the AI clinical assistant built into Hello Homeo. It reads the case sheet you are writing, looks up this patient's lab results and past visits, suggests probable diagnoses and remedies, and — if you ask it to — drafts case-sheet text for you to review. It never prescribes, never touches the pharmacy, and never saves anything without your approval. Every Vita action costs one H-Credit.

What Vita is

Vita is a second opinion that has read the file. Inside a consultation it is grounded in the case sheet in front of you: what you typed, the patient's demographics, the reason for visit, plus live lookups into this patient's lab orders and previous consultations. Outside a consultation, on the Vita AI page, it becomes a general clinical co-pilot that can also search your schedule and your patient list.

  • It summarises the consultation you have just written.
  • It proposes probable and differential diagnoses from what is documented.
  • It suggests probable remedies with the keynotes from this case that point to each one.
  • It tells you which questions you have not asked yet.
  • It identifies the predominant miasm and the case items that indicate it.
  • It drafts case-sheet text and offers it to you field by field — you approve or reject.
  • It reads live lab results, the patient's consultation history and the clinic's test catalogue.

Vita inside a consultation

Vita and the Repertory sit in the same bottom-right rail. The small number on the Vita pill is your clinic's remaining H-Credits — check it before you start, not after.
  1. 1

    Click the floating Vita pill.

The panel docks on the right of the case sheet. Its header shows a credit ring — hover it to read 3 / 20 H-Credits, or Unlimited H-Credits if your plan has no AI cap.

  2. 2

Pick a suggestion, or type your own question.

The composer says Ask Vita about this patient's case…. Press Enter to send, Shift+Enter for a new line. Questions are limited to 1000 characters here.

  3. 3

Click the microphone if you would rather talk.

That is voice typing — it dictates into the question box. It does not start a spoken conversation.

  4. 4

Read the answer, then copy it or have it read back.

Every answer has a copy button and a Speak aloud button.

  5. 5

Use the expand arrows to give Vita the full screen.

Useful for long remedy differentials. The case sheet is still there behind it.

The five one-click actions

ChipWhat it gives you
Consultation SummaryOverview of this consultation — a structured summary of the saved record, written for quick review.
Diagnosis AnalysisProbable & differential diagnoses — clinical impression, probable diagnosis, differentials, homeopathic assessment, and red flags.
Probable RemedyTop homeopathic remedies — 3 to 5 remedies ranked, each with the keynotes from this case that point to it, plus a differentiation rationale and a totality summary.
Follow-up QuestionsGaps in history & modalities — 8 to 12 questions you have not asked yet, focused on modalities, sensations, concomitants, thermals, sleep and dreams.
Miasmatic AnalysisIdentify predominant miasm — dominant miasm with a confidence level, the case items that indicate it, inherited vs acquired background, and remedy implications.

Each chip costs 1 H-Credit, exactly like a typed question.

When the patient already has a primary (chronic) case sheet, two more chips appear: Primary Case Summary and Compare Cases — the second one asks Vita what has changed, improved or worsened since the original case. You can also open Primary case in the patient strip and click Ask Vita there, which sends the whole chronic sheet across for the same comparison.

On a completed consultation the chips change toWhat it gives you
Patient OverviewSummarise this patient's case
Review DiagnosisEvaluate the diagnosis and prescription that were given
Follow-up PlanWhat to watch for at the next visit
Remedy InsightsNotes on the remedies prescribed, their indications and what to expect

A completed consultation is read-only, so Vita becomes a reviewer rather than a writer — the autofill tool is switched off entirely.

Live lookups: what Vita fetches for itself

Some questions cannot be answered from the case sheet, so Vita goes and reads the record itself. While it does, a badge appears in the chat:

Checking lab results
Every lab order raised on this appointment, with live status, values, units, reference ranges, ABNORMAL flags and remarks. Ask what came back on the CBC? and Vita reads the actual result, not your notes about it.
Reviewing patient history
This patient's previous consultations at your clinic — past complaints, diagnoses, treatment plans and follow-up instructions. Ask has this patient been seen before, and for what?
Searching test catalog
Your clinic's lab test catalogue by name or category, with sample type, reference range and price. Useful when you are deciding what to order — but Vita cannot place the order for you.
Filling consultation form
Vita is drafting case-sheet text. Nothing is written yet — see the next section.

Case-sheet autofill — review before apply

Ask Vita to fill, write, expand, rewrite, refine, update or shorten anything in the case sheet and it will draft the text — but it proposes rather than writes. Nothing reaches your form until you press Apply.

  1. 1

    Ask for it explicitly.

For example: Fill the case sheet — patient has hypertension, or Refine the acute presenting complaint to 100 words. Vita will not rewrite your form during ordinary conversation; it only drafts when you ask it to.

  2. 2

Read the amber card: N fields ready to fill.

Collapsed, it lists the field names as chips. Click Review to expand it and read the proposed text for each field; Hide collapses it again.

  3. 3

Untick anything you do not want.

Each row has a tick you can toggle — Exclude this field greys the row out, Include this field brings it back. Excluded fields are simply not applied.

  4. 4

    Click Apply — or Reject.

Reject discards the lot and the card reads Changes discarded. Nothing is ever written to the record from a rejected draft.

  5. 5

    Check what landed.

On Apply, the case sheet jumps to the section holding the first filled field and a toast says Vita filled N fields — click any field below to review. The card turns green and lists the applied fields as clickable chips.

  6. 6

Click a chip to inspect the exact field.

The panel closes, the right section opens, the page scrolls to that input, focuses it and highlights it for a couple of seconds. Edit it like any other field.

Vita can only offer the fields that exist for the consultation type you are on. Anything outside that set is quietly dropped, even if Vita mentions it in the chat:

Consultation typeFields Vita may draft
Chronic (First Visit)Chief Complaints, Onset, Duration, Location, Sensation, Modalities, Associated Symptoms, Progression, History of Present Illness, Past History, Family History, Physical Generals, Physical Particulars, Mental & Emotional State, General Exam Findings, Tongue & Pulse, Provisional Diagnosis, Totality Analysis, Final Diagnosis, Treatment Plan, Follow-up Instructions, Additional Notes
Follow-upPhysical Generals, Physical Particulars, Mental & Emotional State, General Exam Findings, Tongue & Pulse, Consultation Notes
AcuteAcute Presenting Complaint, Physical Generals, Physical Particulars, Mental & Emotional State, General Exam Findings, Tongue & Pulse, Acute Diagnosis Analysis, Consultation Notes

No list includes the Prescription section, the vital signs or the lab panel. Those are typed by you, always. See Writing a prescription.

Vita AI — the full-page assistant

The three prompt columns are also a map of what this page can reach: your schedule, your patients, and homeopathic knowledge. It cannot see whichever case sheet you have open elsewhere.

Click Vita AI in the sidebar. The header carries your N H-Credits badge, a Voice button and — once you have started talking — a Clear button that wipes the conversation and starts fresh. The welcome screen reads Ask Vita anything and reminds you: N H-Credits available · 1 credit per message.

📅 My Schedule
Show me my appointments for today · What patients do I have coming up this week? · Search for appointments with status pending. Vita reads your own appointments only.
👤 Patient Lookup
Find patient Priya Sharma · Search for a patient with phone 9876543210 · Give me a summary of patient AWHCC-00042. A summary pulls the profile, recent consultations, recent prescriptions and recent lab orders.
🧠 Clinical Concepts
Compare Nux Vomica and Lycopodium for digestive complaints · What are the key differentiating features of Pulsatilla? · How does potency selection work — 30C vs 200C vs 1M? This is general homeopathy, not about any patient.

While Vita fetches clinic data a badge tells you which one: Checking today's schedule, Loading upcoming appointments, Searching patient records, Reviewing patient summary, Loading appointment details, Searching appointments. Type up to 2000 characters, press Enter to send, Shift+Enter for a new line, and use the microphone to dictate. A long answer can be stopped mid-flow with the stop button; every finished answer can be copied or spoken aloud.

Voice mode

A live spoken conversation with Vita, available on the Vita AI page only. Inside a consultation the microphone is voice typing and the speaker icon is read-aloud — there is no live voice agent there.

  1. 1

On the Vita AI page, click Voice.

  2. 2

Pick your language from the Choose Language grid.

Eleven Indian languages — English (IN), Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Urdu — plus nineteen international ones. Your choice is remembered for next time.

  3. 3

Click Start Voice Session and allow the microphone.

An orb appears and the conversation transcript builds up underneath as you talk. Vita can use the same schedule and patient lookups by voice, and shows the same badges while it does.

  4. 4

Mute yourself with the microphone button; finish with End Session.

A session costs 1 H-Credit and its connection stays valid for 30 minutes.

H-Credits and plan limits

H-Credits are the clinic's shared AI balance. They are not per-doctor: whoever uses Vita spends from the same pot.

Reviewing, applying or rejecting a drafted fieldFree — the answer that produced it has already been paid for
  • The monthly plan quota resets on the 1st of each calendar month.
  • When it is exhausted, purchased AI H-Credits bundles are used automatically. Bundle credits never expire.
  • When both are gone, the consultation panel shows Insufficient H-Credits. Purchase more to continue using Vita. and the composer is disabled; the Vita AI page shows You've run out of H-Credits. Purchase more on the Subscription page.
  • Only an Admin can buy more, from Subscription → Add-On Credits → AI H-Credits → Buy Now. A doctor cannot top up their own balance.
  • If Vita fails to generate an answer inside a consultation, the credit is refunded automatically.

The honest limits

  • It is only as good as the case you documented. Vita is instructed to use only what is in the record and not to invent symptoms. A thin case sheet produces a thin differential. Fill the case first, ask second.
  • It does not prescribe. Remedy suggestions are suggestions. Nothing Vita says reaches the Prescription section, the pharmacist or the patient unless you type it there yourself.
  • It cannot act. It cannot order a lab test, book a follow-up, complete a consultation, raise an invoice or message a patient.
  • It can be wrong. The panel says so under every composer: Vita is AI and can make mistakes. Always double-check the output.
  • The doctor is responsible. The record carries your name. Anything you apply from Vita becomes your clinical documentation the moment you save it.

Questions doctors ask

Can Vita interview the patient for me?+

No. Vita is only ever available to you, inside your portal. It never speaks to the patient, and there is no patient-facing AI anywhere in Hello Homeo.

Does the patient see Vita's answers?+

Only what you decide to keep. Chat answers are never stored in the case sheet. Drafted fields you Apply and then save become part of the medical record, and will appear on the case-sheet PDF like any other text you wrote.

Can Vita see another doctor's patients?+

Inside a consultation, no — it is locked to the patient in front of you. On the Vita AI page it can look up any patient registered at your clinic, but appointments are limited to your own schedule.

Why did my chip do nothing and show an error about a medical record?+

Consultation Summary reads the saved record. Click Save Draft first, then ask again.

I asked Vita to fill a field and it did not appear.+

Two likely reasons. The field does not exist for this consultation type — a Follow-up, for example, has no Chief Complaints box, so any draft for it is dropped. Or the consultation is completed and therefore read-only, in which case autofill is switched off entirely.

Can I use Vita from Claude Desktop or Cursor?+

Yes. Generate an agent token in the doctor Settings page and connect it. The assistant then gets tools for your schedule, appointments, patient history and lab orders, plus vita_ask. Each Vita call made that way also costs 1 H-Credit.

Does asking twice cost twice?+

Yes. Every message and every chip is 1 H-Credit, including a re-run of the same question. Reading, expanding, applying or rejecting a draft costs nothing extra.
